Hey all -- Mike Holmes and I are launching an art sale to pay some wedding bills this year! That means I'm selling original art of Octopus Pie and my Marceline comics for VERY CHEAP! Go check out the sale here!
Mike is also offering a limited number of full-color commissions over here.

Oh my god, seriously, though.
In high school, one of my teachers was also my coach, and we were pretty friendly. One time I jokingly called him old in class (he was only thirty, maybe) but he got really embarrassed and I felt terrible. I've been super paranoid about this situation ever since.
Most of the senior citizens I've know wouldn't be angry about such comments… But they'd certainly tease the hell out of her. Especially if they're the athletic sort, like the 70- and 80-year olds I used to hike with. Or they might be approving: "Honey, you ain't old, but if you quit smoking and such, you'll get there eventually".
To be completely honest, I do not only love the Octopus Pie comic, to which I look forward to every time, but also the community. I've been around quite a lot in the interwebz and there are people who call themself fans and only devote their comments and actions to just being rude, annoying or even destructive. Here it just seems like everybody is really happy about the fact that Octopus Pie exists and all the fans are so into the characters! I almost enjoy reading the comments section as much as the comic itself and that really means something 😀
Totally in the same boat, Marigold. On the cusp of 30-something and trying to transition into "grownup-hood" but still somehow maintain a little bit of the fun. 🙂

I love how Eve and Jane just noped the hell out of there

"We don't know her. Who is that girl? How rude."
Stuurmintor
Those old ladies are still spry enough to put dents in vans. I'd nope out of there, too.
Taniel
I'm going to start 'noping' the hell out of awkward situations from now on.

Don't try to get out of this by looking at your pager, youngin'.
Dalky
"Hey Mar, how was your… why are you covered in cane marks?"
"spa day."
"… and are those *dentures* in your hair?"
"SPA DAY."

All that cutting in front of old ladies for the spa van is finally coming back to bite Mar in the ass…
Mental Mouse
Oh wow — that made me go back and check, and it's the same two ladies!
Arianod
Of course it would be the two same ladies. Karma's a bitch.
