We're well trained in fiction to know when a character rehearses their lines in advance or otherwise lays out the plan in excruciating detail, that's not how it will go. But still, maybe it will? Will is one of the more sensitive characters, quick to anger but also easily hurt. It's not something Eve has ever had a lot of luck recognizing. She kind of takes advantage of his availability, even (especially?) when it isn't there, and he always comes out worse for it. But on that front this story is kind of a turning point.... uhh let's watch!
