It's amazing to me how many characters from this arc - and there were lots - stuck around for the rest of the comic. I'd love to tell you I planned such things, but who would even believe me.
god i can't believe marigold started out as a stoner friend!!! the place she occupies in the story feels so indispensible later that the fact that she's introduced like this… i always forget it!
